During my travels, I found myself staying at Emma's Sea View in Dickwella for a brief transit stop. The location of the hotel was highly convenient, as it was only 55 km away from the nearest airport. This made it incredibly easy for me to catch my next flight without any hassle or stress. the homestay provided a clean and comfortable environment, ensuring a pleasant stay during my short visit.
I must mention one minor drawback that I encountered during my time at Emma's Sea View. Unfortunately, there was some noise disturbance in the vicinity, emanating from a nearby club or bar located just 50 meters away.

Fabulous beachfront location with a lovely garden terrace. Free breakfast, WiFi, and parking. Great for whale-watching and exploring the area. Car rental available.
Who needs a comfortable bed or clean sheets anyway? Ignored at check-in, but at least they were trustful enough to let me leave the money in the room.

I keep returning to this place for my stay in Dickwella. The helpful staff even printed important documents for me. It suits me perfectly with Wi-Fi, free parking, an electric kettle, and a paid airport shuttle. They also have laundry services, a bar, and a restaurant. Can't wait to be back for Easter!

Our stay at Emma's Sea View was absolutely fantastic! The rooms were spacious with a breathtaking beach view from our balcony. Despite a minor issue with the bathroom door and no hot water, the comfortable accommodation exceeded our expectations. The hosts were incredibly accommodating and the delicious breakfast was a great start to our day. The location was perfect, being away from the party noise yet still easy to access. We felt safe and our belongings were secure. The cleanliness of the property was impressive and the staff was friendly, offering us water whenever we needed it. We enjoyed the tasty egg hoppers for breakfast. The highlight was definitely the stunning view of the bay and spotting the two beautiful peacocks in the garden. We would highly recommend this place to everyone looking for a comfortable and relaxing stay.

Perfect place to get a nice tan while enjoying the sound of loud music and a small party in the garden. Great for whale-watching and experiencing the beauty of leaking roofs. Free breakfast and a lovely staff.
Sleeping peacefully is overrated. Every night should be a party night.

The room we stayed in at Emma's Sea View had an amazing sea view, which made waking up in the morning such a delight. It felt so refreshing and calming. I loved the seating area in the room, it was the perfect spot to relax and unwind after a long day of exploring. It added an extra level of comfort to our stay. The private entrance gave us a sense of privacy and made us feel like we had our own little retreat. It was a nice touch. Having free in-room WiFi was a great convenience. We were able to easily connect and stay connected, which made planning our outings a breeze. The balcony in our room was wonderful. We enjoyed sitting out there, sipping our morning coffee, and taking in the beautiful view.
Personally, I found the electric kettle in the room unnecessary. But, I understand that some guests may find it useful for making hot beverages.

We stayed at Emma's Sea View for a week with our two young children and had an amazing experience. the family-run home stay offers breathtaking views of the bay and a relaxing atmosphere. the beach is just a few steps away, perfect for swimming, surfing, or simply unwinding. the garden is truly special, with multiple sitting areas that provide a magical view and soothing sound of the sea. Shan and his mother, the hosts, were wonderful. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast with a variety of options, including eggs, fresh fruit, toast, and coffee. the rooms were comfortable and the outdoor showers were a lovely touch. We also appreciated the laundry services, which were efficient and well-priced. A strong recommendation for both Emma's Sea View and the welcoming community of Hiriketiya. Cons: Nothing, all excellent. 😊.

Stunning view of the bay from the hotel, perfect for a romantic escape. Friendly and helpful staff who were always available to assist. - the hotel's garden is a lovely spot to relax and enjoy the picturesque surroundings.
Thin walls in the rooms, which made it easy to hear noise from neighboring guests. Limited furniture in the rooms, a night table and additional storage space would have been helpful.
